March is a huge birthday month in my family, so it is only appropriate that Keep It Sweet Desserts squeezed in there as well.  I still remember thinking to myself, just a few hours before the website went live, “I have no idea what is about to happen”.  That could not have been more true!

Yes I developed a business plan and yes I had goals, but the first twelve months of running this company has opened up opportunities, challenges and business ventures that I never could have imagined.

Made cake pops for numerous Anthropologie events

Was surprised by my mom with KISD t-shirts for the family

Had my entire family working with me through the holidays

Made friends with other awesome foodie entrepreneurs

Was featured on New York Live

Became a finalist for the Martha Stewart American Made Award

Learned important lessons

Helped raise money for several charities by contributing cookie platters, favors and auction items to events

Participated in filming the pilot for a reality TV show

It has been an amazing and wild ride!
