The other day I had 24 hours with my best friend/college roommate, Rachel
We brunched, we window-shopped, we walked, we pedicured… it was fabulous
And since she was in town from Florida we made a couple of very important stops…. Pinkberry
…and forty carats
Best friends don’t let best friends go without fro yo.
And then after a day of running around the city and catching up on months of conversation (I hadn’t seen her since my wedding!) we changed our out-on-the-town evening plans and crashed the husband’s dinner
We went to this restaurant near my apartment
Beer sampler anyone?
Of course the rest of the night was spent catching up some more on life like only best friends do
We were so happy to be reunited, I almost didn’t let her leave!
What would you do if you had a best friend visit for 24 hours?
I have seriously got to stop checking my reader – people are making me want all kinds of bad things. That frozen yogurt looks incredible and I’m sure it’s better for you than ice cream but it’s still gotta be bad somehow right?
I like to think of the fro yo with fruit as a balanced meal;-) We basically did brunch->fro yo->fro yo->dinner… clearly a well-balanced day!
My best friend was here for a few days last year and we had a blast! Eating, shopping, gossiping, eating some more. It was perfect. Glad to hear you had a great time!

It is SO good! I had coffee and plain which I love. They also give you humungous portions (I actually asked for a smaller one).

24 hours isn’t enough time! I wouldn’t have wanted my bestie to leave either-so bittersweet to have a short visit. Sounds like you had a great time and you both look gorgeous! If I only had 24 hours, I don’t think I’d do anything that would keep us from talking to each other (like a movie or even a theme park). Your day sounds perfect b/c you had time to catch up while you had fun together!

Isnt it crazy how much being with your best firend is amazing? When we lived in the same city I took everything for granted, Now I see her about once a month (used to be once a year when she lived in a different country)

Sounds so wonderful! One of my very best friends lives in LA and time is so so precious when she has a chance to visit – sometimes I only get to see her for 2 hours, but it’s like time has never passed!
reunion trips like this, even when they are WAY too short, are always worth it :)

So I am EXTREMELY lucky and my best friend (or Biff as we call eachother) lives like 2 minutes away from me and we get to hang out pretty regularly. What I do not have, however, is a frozen yogurt place anywhere around me!! I am so jealous everytime I see another beautiful froyo pick. Sigh…

It sounds like you had a wonderful time together. There is nothing better than time with old friends. My best girlfriend of 31 years (ack!) and I love to cook, eat, sing and chat together.
