As I take a look at some of the last month’s activities I guess it shouldn’t be surprising that my pants don’t fit…
We had our 5th annual Thanksgiving with Friends
(the infamous dinner with 8 desserts)
Had and fulfilled intense cookie cravings
Tried to make the perfect cookie
Baked the Brown Eyed Baker’s Peanut Butter Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies
Not pictured but worth mentioning, made Jessica’s Cookie Dough Dip in Chocolate Chip, Snickerdoodle and Chocolate Fudge
Went home to visit with family
The sister made chocolate covered pretzels
Dad gave me photography lessons
Mom made a zillion cakes
(Outrageous Brownie with Peanut Butter Icing and Chocolate Ganache)
(Pumpkin Cake with White Chocolate Buttercream and Cinnamon Whipped Cream)
(The third cake was a Chocolate Cake with Vanilla and Chocolate Buttercream)
Went home again for the 14th Annual Christmas Eve Brunch with my best friends from home
It snowed, so I rushed to the train to beat the blizzard
And since it was snowing, I had to make a trifle
We celebrated New Year’s Eve
And Chocolate Dipped Peanut Butter Sandwiches
This delicious food and the fun events with family and friends was definitely worth gaining a few pounds. Better keep reminding myself as I fill up on vegetables over the next few weeks;-)
What memorable food did you eat this holiday season?
My pants are snug, too. It’s ok… just up your veggie intake now! ;)
I MUST make those Chocolate Dipped Peanut Butter Sandwiches! But… it’s 9pm. Maybe at a more appropriate time. I can’t believe I’ve never heard of them before. I’ve seen them with Ritz and need to try them as well.
I’ll be posting the recipe later this week!!
Ughh….all those treats look amazing!!! Yes please! I don’t even want to wear jeans-I’m planning on living in leggings until this pudge goes away (it will right?! haha).
looks like the perfect holiday desserts! yum!
oh my goodness… those desserts are to die for! seriously, everything looks amazing! thanks for sharing and have a great day.
Any dinner with 8 desserts is OK with me :) And I love that you made trifle because it was snowing! That’s so something I would do!! Hope 2011 brings many more desserts!
My family and I constantly joke that as soon as we see a flurry in the sky we NEED to make cookies. So glad I’m not alone:-)
dang girly! Everything looks out of this world! I definitely need to give some of these recipes a try or come to a party of yours lol
Come on over!
If your pants did fit, you’d be in the minority lol. Just another reason to love and hate the holidays. Ah well. Looks like you had a great holiday season! :)
Wow! Those are some good looking desserts! Those chocolate dipped peanut butter sandwiches looks delicious! :)
Oh my goodness, those chocolate dipped peanut butter sandwiches look heavenly!
I want some of that pumpkin cake! Send any leftovers my way ;)
I am with you on the pants not fitting. I got on the scale last week and almost died from mortification. I ate SO many wonderful things this holiday! Lots of cookies, my mom’s apple pie, Christmas Eve hors d’oeuvres…the list goes on and on! Looks like you had a wonderful season full of friends, family and food! :)
Tight pants=happy holidays :)
Wow, a party with 8 desserts?? Can I come, too? ;)
I love your tradition of brunch with friends from home. Sounds so nice!
We have been doing it since we were 12! It is amazing!
Those pictures of the food look amazing. They totally made me starving!
mmm it looks like there were so many yummy treats there!
Man, I wish I was there! That food all looks to die for!
So many desserts! It’s definitely my favorite meal, so that’s a great thing :-)
What a great cookie platter you used to display the Peanut Butter Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies! ;)
I had some good eats over the holidays too, but nothing that looks as amazing as everything you’ve pictured! Time for me to get back on track, which will be hard because those chocolate dipped peanut butter sandwiches are really calling my name! :)
You definitely had a wonderful (and tasty) ending to 2010!
I’d say everything was worth it! ;) I want that trifle now.
I also ate a lot of memorable things over the holidays. One of my favorites was a super indulgent dinner at O Ya. 2010 seemed like a wonderful food year for a lot of people, including you and me!
Holy moley, what a collection of great foods and sweets. i am getting a sugar high just looking at the screen!
This sounds like one crazy awesome holiday season, in my opinion. Worth the pounds. But also worth eating the veggies now. So that next year, you can just start all over again.
I like the way you think!
Looks like lots of yummy stuff! I think the chocolate covered pretzels might be my fave—I love that salty sweet combo. Popcorn and junior mints anyone? :)
I love salty sweet! How about popcorn and non-pareils?!
What a month of sweets!! I think I have a cavity now…and a rumbly tummy ;)
Dang girl, that’s alot of desserts! I love it and wouldn’t have it any other way :)
Wow! Could you have had a better food month? Probably not! I just came across your blog and I’m loving it!!
